Premium grass-fed beef and lamb imported from New Zealand and Australia by Pilot Brands

Pilot Brands sells quality grass-fed meat that you can see, taste, and trust. They believe deeply about connecting you with the fundamental integrity of the pastoral production process.

Pilot Brands bring farmers, processors and distributors together in a synergy of people, philosophy and products that delivers the best of the land with exacting attention to detail, service and quality. You care deeply about the provenance of your meat and produce; these farmers care as deeply about the welfare of their land and wholesome goodness of the animals they raise. They strive to strengthen the connection between you, your food, and the land.

ABOUT

Pilot Brands enthusiasm for natural, succulent meats sets us apart. Adding only their own exacting standards of trim, handling, and service to the simple qualities of the meat: care for the land and livestock raised as they evolved, grazing freely on plentiful grasses with clean water and fresh air—naturalness beyond trite definitions.

At Pilot Brands the focus is on the details that matter in delivering well-crafted, delicious grass-fed meat of the quality you demand, when you expect it.  The team of logistics, warehousing and distribution experts ensure that the values inherent in the meat are delivered safely, with care and on time.

LAMB

Pilot Brands reputation was forged on fine lamb and an enduring tradition of excellence. Carefully selected free-range Pilot Brand lamb is trimmed with an unmatched attention to detail. Aged for guaranteed tenderness and then quick-frozen to seal in its natural succulence, the lamb has a delicate, mild flavor that exemplifies the best qualities of grass-fed lamb.

Naturally healthier, grass-fed lamb is higher in omega-3 fatty acids, unsaturated fats, vitamin E, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and protein than grain-fed lamb. Grass-fed lamb is also lower in calories, cholesterol and saturated fats.

BEEF

Experience the flavor and benefits of natural grass-fed beef. Better for the animal, better for us, and better for the environment, grass-fed beef offers a nutritional profile and natural integrity to suit today’s contemporary and conscientious diner.

Tender, juicy beef with grass-fed goodness is manifest in Pilot Brands’ Pasture Perfect™ range of grass-fed beef. These grass-fed cattle are allowed to mature unhurriedly and naturally, grazing only on lush pastures.
Grass-fed beef is higher in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, vitamin E, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and lower in total fat. Our beef comes only from cattle that have been raised naturally on lush pasture, free ranging and never confined, never fed antibiotics, and never treated with growth hormones.

Beyond Emissions Reductions: Carbon Capture Strategies, a Deeper Dive

Lecture Series 2016: Changes Challenges and Choices

Beyond Emissions Reductions: Carbon Capture Strategies, a Deeper Dive

Photosynthesis: An Agent for Sequestration of Carbon in the Atmosphere

On Saturday, January 23rd, Marin Carbon Project co-founder and agro-ecologist Dr. Jeffrey Creque, and Carbon Cycle Institute Policy Director Torri Estrada, will talk about “boots on the ground” sequestering carbon on farm and public land, their work through Resource Conservation Districts around the State, the Governor’s “Healthy Soils Initiative,” and other policy advances in supporting use of photosynthesis to reduce carbon in the atmosphere.

Their remarks will be followed by presentations by Rebecca Burges, Executive Director of the Fibershed Project, and Kimberly Sheibly, Marin Sanitary Service’s Municipal Contracts and Communications Manager. Rebecca’s work demonstrates how we can restore the planet’s resource base while meeting our needs for food, fuel, fiber and flora. Kimberly will describe efforts to convert customers to recycling food and other organic waste so it becomes part of the solution rather than going into landfill, where it contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
