Should You Switch your Small Business HTML Website to a Content Management System such as Wordpress?

Do you have a small business website built in HTML? Such sites can only be edited by webmasters using HTML editing tools. There is a new wave of small business websites that can be edited and updated by ANYONE who has basic computer skills.

You heard me right. If you upgrade your website to a Content Management System or CMS you can then edit it yourself. You'll pay to have your site converted but then you'll be saving on webmaster fees whenever you edit the site yourself.

One of the more popular CMS editors is called Wordpress. This former blogging tool can now be used to manage a complete website. Not only that, but Wordpress makes blogging and search engine optimization a lot easier.

By now you may already probably convinced that Wordpress is a great platform for managing your website. So now it's time to figure out how to convert your existing site into Wordpress.

Your first decision will be to choose a Wordpress THEME or template. Choose a WordPress Theme that best suits your business identity and style. You can also develop your own Theme but there are so many themes available it is best to pick one that matches your needs and then customize it.

WordPress Themes help to ensure that your website and blog are unlike others on the web. What you are blogging about does not matter. There are Themes designed for all kinds of websites. By the way, did you know that new WordPress Themes can be installed in just minutes?
